❤️ Why We're Doing This

We are a Venezuelan-Australian family who feel incredibly fortunate to call the Gold Coast home.

The recent earthquakes have devastated communities that were already facing an ongoing humanitarian crisis. We've chosen to support Caritas Australia's Venezuela Earthquake Appeal because their partner, Caritas Venezuela, is already on the ground providing emergency assistance, including food, clean water, shelter and sanitation.

Rather than simply asking for donations, we've chosen to donate our time, equipment and expertise so that every participant's contribution goes directly to Caritas Australia.

Together, we can enjoy an incredible morning on the water while helping families rebuild their lives.

You can still support this fundraiser by making a donation through our Caritas Australia fundraising page. Every contribution, big or small, helps provide emergency assistance to families rebuilding their lives in Venezuela.

Event Details

• Duration: Approximately 2 hours
• Maximum Participants: 30
• Suitable for: Beginners and experienced paddlers
• Age: 4+ years (participants under 16 must be accompanied by a participating adult)
• Waiver: Required for all participants (parent/guardian to sign for minors)
• Swimming: You don't need to know how to swim, but you must feel comfortable on deep water while wearing a life jacket and following your guide's instructions.
• Included: Kayak, paddle, life jacket and all required safety equipment

✅ How to Secure Your Place

1. Reserve your place through our online booking system (no payment is required).
2. Your booking will be created with a Pending status.
3. Make your donation directly to Caritas Australia's Venezuela Earthquake Appeal through our Paddle 4 Venezuela fundraising page
4. Email your donation receipt to [email protected], including the name used for your booking and your contact number.
5. We'll confirm your booking as soon as we receive your donation receipt.

Please note: Bookings are confirmed in the order donation receipts are received. Pending bookings not confirmed within 48 hours may be released to participants on the waiting list.

Cancellation & Weather

As donations are made directly to Caritas Australia, not to Seaway Kayaking Tours, we're unable to offer refunds.

If you can no longer attend, please contact us as soon as possible. Where possible, we'll transfer your place to another participant so your generous donation can still be represented on the day.

Participant safety is always our highest priority. If weather or water conditions make the event unsafe, we'll work with participants to arrange an alternative date where possible.
